To show the scrolling animations as in the videos, then you use the swipe feature.
This is a two step process. Firstly you display the layers you want to scroll through and then you turn on the swipe feature and scroll.
You can scroll any layer combinations, but it's perhaps more useful and quick to use our predefined layer combinations such as each hour in a day or each day in a week.
To turn these layer combinations on, open the side tab by clicking on the grey coloured tab half way up on the right hand side of ARCS.
These are bookmarks. It's best to click the top one first 'All off' which turns off all the currently displayed layers.
Now click the bookmark of layers you're interested in. This may take a few seconds to display all the layers. It will look a little confusing at first before we switch swipe on.
It's best at this point, to click the grey tab marker again to close the bookmark side bar. It's also best to move and zoom the map to the part your're interested in now as you can't when the swipe is turned on.
Now turn swipe on. Click on the fourth icon from the left hand side at the bottom left hand side of ARCS. There's a small switch at the top of the widget that appears on the right hand side. Click it to turn swipe on.
A scroll bar now appears at the bottom of ARCS. You can use it to animate through the layers. The legend in the swipe widget will change to show which layer is currently being displayed so you can keep track.
When you've finished, click the swipe on/off switch again. You should also click the grey side bar tab and select the 'All off' button to turn all the layers off again.
